This essay examines Dal Pra’s Condillac and its importance in his theoretical development. Through a precise analysis of Condillac’s philosophical work and how it developed, Dal Pra identifies in sensation, considered to be active and passive, spiritual and organic, the weak element in Condillac’s idealism. Alongside this, he becomes aware that it is difficult to establish the existence of external reality starting from subjectivity and impossible to conciliate idealism and realism.
