Talking with publishers, Turkle discusses the challenges and opportunities of contempo-rary psychoanalysis. It describes how digital life serves people to escape what is confused and complex in human conversation. He expects that psychoanalysis can play a special role in contemporary life by pronouncing himself in favour of the ability to get bored, to be alone and to reflect on oneself. Regardless of the convenience of distance therapy, psychoanalysis needs to fully understand the importance of intimate dialogue that can only occur when people are bodies that are together. In the post-face affirms that by claiming the role of conversation, we can claim that of psychoanalysis.
