The discussion analyzes the birth and spread of the neo-bourbonic movement, bringing out the context in which this type of revisionism has found broad consensus. The crisis of traditional parties and the birth of northern separatism and autonomist movements, the search for traditional values in a globalized world, the economic crisis and the weakening of constitutional values, but also the birth of cultural associations and the promotion of local tourism, are factors that have led to a radical negation of the history of the Risorgimento.
