Excavation campaigns conducted by the Soprintendenza of Syracuse, under the supervision of Prof. Giuseppe Voza, in the ‘80s and ‘90s, in Ortygia, in view of of which a selection from 13th to 18th century is presented. Richness and complexity of a town such Syracusa, on an historical, cultural and commercial basis, are confirmed.
