The article analyzes the role that the vows came to assume in the mod-ern Savoy court. In the "society of princes", characterized by a fre-quent and constant use (private and public) of religiosity and faith ex-pressions, it was normal to use the heavenly intercession to obtain per-sonal graces (in case of illness, danger, infertility, etc.) public (in the event of war, pestilence, famine, etc.).
