This work deals with the issue of intrapsychic conflict connected to the transformation of the Self in the passage towards new evolutionary phases, which is experienced as symbolic death. At the occasion of the evolutionary crisis linked to parenthood, internal “ghosts” propose themselves both to a personal and transpersonal level. It becomes centrally relevant to be able to call the “angels” back, as protective aspects of the Self, which support it towards evolution. The metaphorical deaths experienced by everyone along the path of life can then be associated with a real death, as it happened in the case presented here; the need to contact the “angels” becomes even more substantial.
