Smart Working is a flexible working approach largely adopted during the Covid-19 pandemic to allow social distancing and continuation of activities. The lockdown promoted a radical change in the concept of space and time of work. But what are the impacts and what are the potentials of remote work solutions? This study demonstrates that smart working can be a winning measure to make cities more sustainable and in harmony with the environment, reconcile life and work needs, protect the health and safety of workers, to survive a crisis of global reach; reflecting on the emergency experience can guide companies towards the adoption of more sustainable practices by proposing themselves as promoters of the creation of smart cities. .
