Research and Tools. Published by AIF (Italian Association of Professional Trainers) FOR is aimed at vocational training professionals working in corporations and organizations (private, public, non-profit), counselling societies, educational centres, schools, universities or freelance. The journal stems from the experience of AIF, Italy's oldest (it was created in 1975) and largest) association of vocational training professionals.
FOR is organised in three Sections:
- Studies and Research
- Experiences
- Associative life
Focus: every issue offers its readers a single research theme - co-edited by various authors - dedicated to a ground-breaking subject; Articles offer readers a thorough overview of issues related to learning processes, organizational strategies and personal development:
- Learning theories
- Research, field studies, trends;
- Needs analysis and training opportunities;
- Planning of training events;
- Scheduling and coordinating of training programmes;
- Class management;
- Results assessment;
- Quality assessment systems planning;
- Learning process analysis;
- Dissemination and knowledge transfer of learning systems.
FOR is a useful tool for all professionals working in the education sector: researchers, educational programme planners, project managers, product managers, educational programme coordinators, course tutors, professional trainers, programme directors, programme evaluators, quality managers and directors of centres, business schools and master programmes. In addition, FOR can help educational science students and young professionals improve their teaching and self-training skills. Most papers contain useful tips for professionals who act as part-time trainers in the corporations they work for. The journal can also help supervisors involved in the training of newly hired employees by helping them find out about and teach best practices, standards and techniques.
